Hello! Some more photos from my recent trip to Brighton. I wasn’t happy with the colouring in some of these photos so I adjusted them to monochrome. It was quite novel editing in black and white! I nearly always use monochrome film with my analog cameras, but this is the first time I’ve used that effect for photos taken with my DSLR. Brighton is a really colourful place so it’s kind of an odd choice to go for monochrome. I feel like they’ve turned out well even if you don’t get the jist of the colourful streets!

These last photos show you what I bought from Brighton, an idea completely stolen from my pal Bel in this post. I’m not really into haul posts but I remember thinking that was a nice thing to include about her trip. Holiday souvenirs and mementos are a bit different to a standard shopping trip in my book. Three pieces of sheet music, a black and gold velvet skirt, vintage yellow and white blouse, graphics pens, medal, 1930s teapot were all fun finds. Foodwise, I grabbed some paprika, lemongrass, bay leaves and ground curry leaves. I cook a lot of curry!

I loved the black and white pictures, you two are lovely in the pics! I loved the bikes, so colorful! And all that you are telling about Brighton – then the more I want to go there! I love teapots too, I have some in my kitchen (as miniatures 🙂 And curry is delicious! I saw Fly me to the moon among your shopping, and loved it! I know many people make fun of me, but I loved old movies with old songs, that I call classics! Such a nice post, dear Laila, I love your posts and the way you write!

Well they weren’t horrific photos to start with! I just wasn’t too keen on the colouring, Brighton plus our clothes was a bit overwhelming for the lens I think.
