Hello! I’ve been away for a week! This has been by far the biggest ever remodelling of this site. Whilst there have been some tweaks along the way this time is different. I’ve recategorised and retagged 400 posts, I’ve taught myself to code and I’ve spent 15 hours on the phone to my host providers. You could say, I’m not fucking around.
So, what’s new? The most obvious change is in theme. We’ve got a music player, 18 new drop-down categories and 20 different headers (bonus points if you recognise which blog posts they came from). Another massive change is you’ll see across the top navigation bar that there’s seemingly a lot of brand new topics: actually, all of these topics were on this blog already – they just weren’t represented or easy to find. Other changes can be found in the sidebar, extra photos in some posts (more bonus points if you clock which pictures of Ryan are new in the previous post!) and the addition of a contact form.
Some of the categories may only have about 10 or so entries at the moment – the new headings represent what I plan to be writing about rather than the bulk of the archives. When I started this blog I was embarrassed to have friends find it, and wrote about things I didn’t really care about as I didn’t want to be associated with it. Over time, I’ve focussed more on the things that are important to me and it’s become a place to be open and genuine. The new design reflects this: I’m proud to have created this blog and what it means. There’s still likely a few things to tweak and some of the old posts may look a bit weird, but given that I knew no CSS at all this time last week (talk about a baptism of fire – any coders out there?), I’m pretty happy.
If you notice anything royally fucked then please leave me a quick comment/tweet me so I can get it sorted. Here’s to the future and thanks for sticking with me!
